Affordable dental bridges in Budapest

Dental bridges are an easy solution to replace missing teeth.

A dental bridge restores a missing tooth by joining it permanently to adjacent teeth so the gap is bridged by a dummy tooth. There are different types of bridges but the conventional bridge consists of three units.

What are they made of?

Dental bridges are made of precious metal, porcelain or porcelain fused to metal.

How are bridges made?

During the first consultation in Budapest the dentist will first apply local anaesthesia and prepare your teeth for the dental crowns. Preparation involves cutting the teeth with a dental drill to make space for the restoration. Then an impression of your teeth will be made and sent to the dental laboratory. To protect your teeth dentist will put a temporary dental bridge on your prepared teeth while the permanent is not ready.
The colour of the permanent bridge will be adjusted to your existing teeth. Once the permanent dental bridge is ready to be placed your dentist will contact you for a second appointment in the dentistry so that you can smile freely again.

With high quality permanent bridge you can eat and speak like before. If you take proper care of your dental bridge it can last for 10-15 years.

5 important things about dental bridges

1. Should I have a dental bridge?

If you happen to have some missing teeth but you do have good oral hygiene practices, you should discuss having a bridge with your dentist. It would be necessary to have a bridge because if spaces are left unfilled, these may cause that the surrounding teeth to drift out of position. Please note as well that these spaces from missing teeth can cause that your teeth and gums become far more susceptible to tooth decay or gum disease.

2. What are the steps of getting a dental bridge?

Step I - preparation of teeth on either side of the gap (removing an are of the abutments depending of the crown)
Step II - an impression will be taken, which will be used in the laboratory to produce the fals teeth and crowns. A temporary bridge will be palced in until the next wisit which protects the teeth and gum.
Step III - the temporary bridge will be removed. The permanent bridge will be fitted and adjusted for any bite discrepancies and than it will be cemented.

3. How much do dental bridges cost?

The price of a bridge depends on many factors. Depending on the material of the crowns, and the state of the surrouning teeth. An exact price can be given only after a personal consultation.

4. Pros and Cons?

Bridges have an absolutly natural appearance, and nead only two visits to your dentist. Depending on your oral hygiene, your fixed bridge should last ten years or more. On the other hand it is common that sensitive to extreme temperatures is going to grow for a few weeks after the treatment. Bacteria formed from food acids on your teeth and gums can become infected if oral hygiene is not followed propperly.

5. How can I take care of my bridge propperly?

If you have a bridge it becomes more important to brush and floss every day than ever before. You shold never miss the oportunity to go for a checkup reglarly. Decay can not effect a bridge due to its material, but where the crwon meets the real teeth it can get decayed. Because of this its very important to follow everday the oral hígiene because like this bridges can hold for many years.
