Affordable dental implant in Budapest

Consult our dentist in central London and then get affordable dental implants in Budapest! All our high quality, affordable dental implant treatments will be fitted in our modern implant centre in central Budapest.

Dental implants are really the best long term restorative solution to replace one or more missing teeth. Dental implants can not only replace teeth but can also serve as a support for dental bridges or dentures. Dental implants consist of three parts - a titanium screw, an abutment and a separate crown.

Treatment process

  • During your first dental consultation the dentist will do an OPG (panoramic X-ray) of your mouth which will clearly show the condition of your teeth, jaw bones and gums. This first dental implant consultation will give you the chance to discuss all your preferences with the dentist.
  • Then, a personally tailored dental treatment plan will be created, providing you with detailed information about the number and structure of your future dental implants. The plan includes the cost and the proposed timescale of the treatment. Once you have agreed on the exact conditions, you can fly to Budapest and start the treatment.
  • During your first visit to the implant centre in Budapest, an oral surgeon will prepare your jaw bones to receive the dental implants. Depending on the number of implants needed, pilot holes will be bored into the bone where the screws need to be installed. To avoid infection during the healing period, a protective cap will be placed on the screws. The healing period is around four months. After this, you can then make a second visit to Budapest when you will receive your permanent implants.

The first time success rate of the Forest&Ray Implant Centre is 98%!

Six important things you should know before getting dental implants

1. What are dental implants?

A dental implant is a small titanium screw, a type of metal generally accepted by the human body, which is used in a wide range of surgical rehabilitation. The dental implant is inserted into the jawbone and with time, the bone integrates with the surface of the implant, a process called osseointegration. This firmly anchors the dental implant. There are many types of implants available, a dentist can always choose the one which suits you the best, depending on your dental condition, budget and aesthetic preference. This requires an X-ray which will show the amount of bone remaining as this determines the amount of available space for the implants. After this it’s possible to decide which implant is the most suitable for your particular circumstances.

2. Is it expensive?

As with any skilled surgical and cosmetic procedure, significant investment is involved, but the exact cost can be determined only when a full examination is completed. In a survey of over 350 patients who had had their dental work completed, the results showed that most of the patients didn’t just think the implantation was worth the investment, but they would do it all again. It is possible to do the implantation abroad where the cost of treatment could be reduced.

3. Is there discomfort involved?

As with any invasive surgery, there can be discomfort. Anaesthetic and patient sedation are always used to eliminate discomfort. Our doctors can prescribe medication to ease any discomfort that may occur during recovery. You can also be assured that we will take special care to stay in contact with you after the surgery. This is the best way to be sure that you remain comfortable and informed about your surgery.

4. How long does implantation take and how many appointments will I need?

  • After the consultation, you will receive a treatment plan within a couple of days. If you agree to it, then you can go ahead and book an appointment for the implantation in London or Budapest.
  • Ten days after implantation, we recommend that you come back to Forest&Ray for a check-up (removal of stitches, X-ray etc) This check up can be done by any suitably qualified instead, if it saves you making a special trip to London.
  • Then, four months after the implantation, the implant is uncovered and the temporary healing abutment is placed on the implant. The impression for the final crown is then taken.
  • 2-3 weeks later the permanent abutment will have set on the implant and the final crown can then be fitted as well.

5. Are implants safe? How long will they last?

Dental implant technology is a safe, well-established, tried and tested field of surgery. With normal care and precautions, 90 % of modern implants last for at least 15 years.

6. How successful are dental implants?

At our dental clinic, according to our previous annual statistics, we have a first time success rate of 98% for fitting dental implants. The remaining 2% were successfully fitted on the second attempt. With proper care, implants can last a lifetime.
